Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Sources Chemistry

Electrochemistry is the branch of chemistry that deals with the relationships between electricity and chemical reactions. The Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Sources Chemistry (IEESC) of Department Chemistry of Zhejiang University, which is supported by the electrochemistry subject, mainly investigates the theory and application of electrochemistry as well as energy sources chemistry. There are 6 faculties in IEESC, including an Academician of CAS, 2 professors and 3 vice professors.There are 2 post-doctors, more than 20 Ph. D and master students. There are perfect scientific research equipments in the IEESC, containing 5 sets advanced electrochemical measurement instruments, 5 battery test instrument, one set of photoelectrochemical measurement devices, which provides a good foundation for electrochemical teaching and scientific research. During these 10 years, a series of research tasks have been well-accomplished, and tens of doctor and master students have graduated in IEESC.
