Abstract:

In this talk, I will discuss two problems in Fourier analysis. The first problem is related to spectra associated with probability measure on a fractal measure. In particular, I will consider spectra of the Cantor set, their algebraic and topological properties and convergence of spectral expansion. The second problem is related to Gabor frames. I will report a joint work with Dai and discuss full classification of ideal windows such that the corresponding Gabor system is a Gabor frame, which is known as the abc problem.
